I didn’t start out a fitness enthusiast. I was never into sports, never in athletics, never stepped foot in a gym. I was a choir and theatre nerd and growing up, I knew NOTHING about nutrition. Because of my lack of healthy choices, I developed anxiety, stomach issues, and a little extra weight. I finally started learning about nutrition in 2011 and working out at home; I was amazed at what a difference it made! After a lot of trial and error, I’ve learned what makes me feel like $H!T and what really makes me feel happy, healthy, energetic and finally… fit! These days I’m a gym rat, and flexible dieter. I believe in eating to fuel your body, but also that a donut is necessary now and then! I have a passion for learning more and helping others, so I gained my certification to begin Personal Training from National Academy of Sports Medicine. Shortly after, I earned a Fitness Nutrition Specialization from NASM as well.
I want to help you reach your goals, whether you want to work out at home, or gain confidence in the gym, lose weight or build lean muscle. I not only will create an individualized program for you, but I will give you consistent support through email communication and my exclusive Facebook group. Kacey B’s Fit Cult, my Facebook group just for clients, is a place where we share our struggles and successes, ask questions and give support to one another. I love checking in with everyone in the group and posting positive mantras and motivation to keep us all going.
My nutrition consult and guidance will help you learn how to eat properly to see progress and feel better. I will give you guidelines for your calorie and macro-nutrient intake, teach you how to track, give you some grocery staple ideas, and nutrient-dense meals to keep you satisfied. My flexible dieting approach will help keep accountable while also allowing some of your favorite foods.
With my training, I want to reduce the risk of injury by catering your routine to your needs. Each training plan will be individual to each client. We will focus heavily on strength training with a side of cardio intervals (if needed), so NO endless, boring hours running on the treadmill! We will mix it up and keep it interesting, efficient, and progressive.
I also want you to know that I am a wife and mother, cat mom, and seasonal photographer. I know how busy we all are these days but our health should never get put on the back burner. I can empathize and inspire as we go through this journey together.
